Untitled 2020
Stone carving, mounted on reclaimed wood
Untitled 2020
Work In progress shots from around 2017
2 Boxers, Mid knockout, flickering masculinity.
Incredibly storied stone, purchased and originally carved with an alternate design circa 2000, it was left to be weathered outside of my parents house for almost 15 years incomplete. Florida rain and sun stripped the original carving away and significantly enhancing the stone’s color and veins. It’s renaissance took another ~5 years through tiny pockets of time in tiny pockets of space where I continued to practice my skills. This piece will remain a personal favorite.
My work studies time through a surrealistic style. This piece is designed with focal points from each view that when viewed in progression build a few seconds of a scene.
